Primary Robins Summer Concert
Introduction
On 7 July at 2:00pm, 100 Primary Robins from local Surrey schools will perform in the opera house.
They will be performing songs they have learnt over the last year including Edelweiss, Sur la pont d’avignon and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
The concert will be accompanied by members of The Berkeley Ensemble with special guest, soprano Ailish Tynan. She takes the title role in Suor Angelica, which will be filmed on location during the season.
Tickets are free but please reserve your seat.
Every week of the school year, Pimlico Opera gives primary school children a half-hour singing class.
The project began in 2013 with 380 Robins in Hampshire. Today there are 6,060 Robins spread over Durham, Newcastle, Manchester, Surrey, Kent, Lewisham Essex and Hampshire.
