Grange Park Opera

Shine your tiara for the screening of our film of Puccini’s Suor Angelica which takes place at the Everyman Chelsea on The King’s Road (SW3 5EW). The film is 50 minutes.

The sound was recorded at the Wigmore Hall and B&W footage was shot at our opera house and  West Horsley Place. This is our fourth filmed-on-location opera.

Life in the convent is observant yet humourous.  For the white-robed nuns, work is a celebration of life and daily tasks are fulfilled with joy.  Sister Angelica, however, hovers on the edge of the community.  The dark shadow of her past is revealed by her aunt, a Princess.
