Born in Chelmsford, his engagements have included Gaveston Lessons in Love and Violence (Stars of the White Nights Festival, St Petersburg) The Protector Written On Skin (Festival Présences de Radio France and Wiener Konzerthaus), Moralès Carmen (Welsh National Opera), First Mate Billy Budd and Rambashi The Firework Maker’s Daughter (Royal Opera, London), the title role in Owen WIngrave (Aldeburgh and Edinburgh Festivals), Demetrius A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Israeli Opera), Belcore L’elisir d’amore (Verbier Festival),  Pallante Agrippina (Brisbane Baroque, Göttingen Festival), Masetto Don Giovanni (Angers Nantes Opera), Schaunard La Bohème (Dorset Opera Festival, English National Opera), The Counsel for the Plaintiff Trial by Jury (BBC Proms), Yuri The Ice Break (Birmingham Opera Company) and Cristiano Un ballo in maschera (Opera Holland Park).

A graduate of Brunel University, the Royal Academy of Music and the National Opera Studio, Ross Ramgobin was Runner Up in the 2014 What’sOnStage Breakthrough in Opera Awards and nominated in the Young Artist Category at the 2015 International Opera Awards.

A member of the National Trust and supporter of a primate sanctuary, his interests include watching the Arsenal (or Reading, when he can’t get to the Emirates Stadium), HIIT Boxing with his heavy bag and Times Crosswords and Polygons.
