“And what a glorious Ring Cycle this promises to be. I have been Ring Cycling for well over 50 years (including at Bayreuth) and the Rheingold we saw last night was one of the best: a superb cast, a vivid and enlightening production and (as you point out in the brochure) a proper opera orchestra.”
