The Piccolo theatre
A theatre within the stage right wing of the Opera House
The Piccolo Theatre – a theatre within the Theatre in the Woods – is an intimate and casual space for 50 created in the stage right wing of our opera house.
The space has a performance area, a piano and a small lighting rig.
The Piccolo had its inaugural performance in Autumn 2019 with Sarah Minns starring in Miss Havisham’s Wedding Night accompanied by pianist David Eaton.
The space will be used for smaller and unique performances each summer.
We’ve created the Piccolo for younger artists who have created a show but are in need of a venue, so please help spread the word.
Details regarding this year’s performances in the Piccolo Theatre will be announced in the summer.
