Otar Jorjikia

Georgian tenor, Otar Jorjikia is the recipient of several prestigious prizes such as first prize at the 2016 Galina Vishnevskaya International Opera Singer’s Competition. Since graduating from the Tbilisi State Conservatoire in 2013, Otar has made numerous house debuts at Teatro alla Scala Milan, Opernhaus Zürich, Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse, Polish National Opera, Lithuanian National Opera and Opera Australia. Otar is in high demand as a guest artist of the Bolshoi and Mariinsky Theatres.

During the 2021/22 season, Otar returns to Opernhaus Zürich for the revival of Simon Boccanegra. He will also be performing Madama Butterfly at Wroclaw Opera and later this Summer, make his debut at Bregenzer Festival for Madama Butterfly.

Recent highlights include performances at Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse (Nemorino, L’elisir d’amore), Opernhaus Zurich (Ismaele, Nabucco), Opera du Rouen Normandie (Adorno, Simon Boccanegra), Theater Basel (Pinkerton, Madama Butterfly), Festspielhaus Baden-Baden (Gabriele Adorno, Simon Boccanegra), Opera Australia (Don José, Carmen) and Polish National Opera (Duke, Rigoletto).
