Luis Gomes
Winner of both the Don Plácido Domingo Ferrer Prize of Zarzuela and the Prize of the Audience at the Operalia Competition, he studied at the Jette Parker Young Artist Programme at Covent Garden. Roles include Rodolfo La Boheme, Nemorino L’Elisir D’Amore, Don José Carmen, Pinkerton Madama Butterfly, Rinuccio Gianni Schicchi, Alfredo La Traviata, Faust, Edoardo Un Giorno di Regno, Nadir Les Pêcheurs de Perles, Fenton Falstaff, Edgardo Lucia di Lammermoor, Duca Rigoletto and the staged Verdi Messa da Requiem. He has appeared with Covent Garden, Scottish Opera, Deutsche Opera am Rhein, Welsh National Opera, Glyndebourne Touring Opera, Finnish National Opera, Teatro Verdi Trieste, Den Norske Oper, Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, Opéra de Monte Carlo, Ópera de Oviedo, Prague National Theatre and Grange Park Opera where recently he was Rinuccio Gianni Schicchi and the Young Gypsy Aleko. He has just made his debut at Rome Opera in the Mozart Requiem.
