Orchestra of English National Opera
Grange Park Opera has a five-year agreement with the Orchestra of English National Opera who will play throughout the epic Ring Cycle 2026-2030: from the bottom of the Rhine to the inferno at Valhalla.
Each season they will perform an additional opera including Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin and Verdi’s Don Carlo and Otello.
The award-winning Orchestra of English National Opera was in the pit at Grange Park Opera in 2018 (Ballo in Maschera, Roméo et Juliette) and 2019 (Don Carlo, Hansel & Gretel).
The orchestra is renowned for the versatility of its repertoire spanning four centuries, providing the musical landscape and emotion for all ENO productions.
Benefiting from the experience and passion of its players, the Orchestra of ENO attracts some of the country’s brightest talent.
Their exceptional stamina and commitment bring to life the complexities and colours of repertoire ranging from Gilbert & Sullivan to the output of contemporary giants Birtwistle, John Adams and Philip Glass.
The two organisations plan to do more than just the summer operas.
These are exciting times.
More to come.
