Luciano Batinic

Luciano Batinic was born in Split. He studied dental medicine and, later, singing, in Croatia. He has won prizes in the Ondina Otta competition in Maribor, the Belcanto competition in Rijeka, and he also won the Vladimir Rozdjak prize in Zagreb.

His performances at the Croatian National Theatre include Pimen Boris Godunov, Fiesco Simon Boccanegra, Commendatore Don Giovanni, Basilio Il barbiere di Siviglia, Escamillo Carmen, Sparafucile Rigoletto, Alidoro La Cenerentola, Colline La Boheme, Ramphis Aida, Kochubey Mazeppa, Don Basilio Le nozze di Figaro, Scarpia Tosca, Arkel Pelléas et Mélisande, and Gremin Eugene Onegin.

At La Scala Milan, he sang as Basilio Il barbiere di Siviglia, and Bartolo Le nozze di Figaro.

In Moldova, he appeared in Boris Godunov, and Raimondo Lucia di Lammermoor.

In Bern, he appeared as Commendatore Don Giovanni, and Dalland De Vliegende Hollander. In Split, he played Dalland De Vliegende Hollander, and in Vilnius, he played Filippo II Don Carlo.
