Wagner’s music dramas are notoriously complicated to stage. They require a large orchestra and sophisticated voices that marry up to his orchestration. Rehearsing and performing these works takes more time than, say, a Puccini opera.

Thus, the cost of staging Wagner is greater than most other opera repertoire. That is why we need a Ring Ring.

Tickets for Das Rheingold will be available for sale on Tuesday 15 July 2025.

Donors will also be able to reserve tickets for Walküre 2027, Siegfried 2028, and Götterdämmerung 2029 at a later date. Performance dates will be announced one year in advance.
