Greg Eldridge
Australian stage director Greg Eldridge has worked on over 80 productions across a 15-year career at companies including Teatro alla Scala, Oper Frankfurt, and Teatro Real in Europe, LA Opera and Houston Grand Opera in America, and the national opera companies of Australia, Iceland, Israel, Norway, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
After studying Performing Arts and Law in Melbourne, Greg trained in Opera Directing in Florence, Italy before becoming a Jette Parker Young Artist at Covent Garden, where he has now worked on over 20 shows. After directing several acclaimed productions for The Royal Opera, they created the position of Jette Parker Associate Director especially for him, a role which he held until 2016.
Awarded a Bayreuth Scholarship in 2018, Greg has worked as an assistant on major Wagner productions – including 3 Ring Cycles – at houses including the Royal Opera House, Opera Australia, and Teatro alla Scala Milan. Das Rheingold is Greg’s second production working with Charlie Edwards, and his first with Grange Park Opera.
