Elizabeth Karani

Elizabeth Karani studied at the Royal Northern College of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, National Opera Studio and is an Equilibrium Young Artist.

Elizabeth’s eclectic repertoire spans baroque, traditional operatic and contemporary works, and her many previous roles include Musetta La bohème, Amy Little Women and Susanna Le nozze di Figaro (all for Opera Holland Park), Gismonda Ottone and Drusilla L’incoronazione di Poppea (English Touring Opera), Nanna/Embla The Monstrous Child (Royal Opera House), Gretel Hansel and Gretel (ENO), Tatyana Eugene Onegin (Mid Wales Opera), Rosalinde Die Fledermaus and Berta Il barbiere di Siviglia (Diva Opera), Rutilia Lucio Papirio Dittatore (Buxton Festival/La Serenissima) and Cino in Vivaldi’s Teuzzone (La Serenissima).

She has also appeared in concert halls across Europe including the Gasteig (Munich) for Mozart Requiem the Münchner Philharmoniker, conducted by Barbara Hannigan. Summer 2024 sees a return to Opera Holland Park as Galatea Acis & Galatea.
