PETWORTH FESTIVAL 2022
Although set in a beautiful small town in a quiet corner of West Sussex, there is nothing small or quiet about the Petworth Festival, which comes bouncing back to life this summer with 59 performances in 11 venues over 19 days in July.
In a year when the festival celebrates a new relationship with the Leeds International Piano Competition and welcomes the winner of the 2021 edition, Alim Beisembayev, the wide-ranging and fast-growing festival also sees performances by cellist Natalie Clein, violinist Dmitry Sitkovetsky, world-renowned Swedish trombone phenomenon Christian Lindberg, top-drawer vocal group I Fagiolini, husband and wife team Julian and Jiaxin Lloyd Webber celebrating the music of Bach in a sofa showroom, comedian Milton Jones, top street and world music groups AKA Trio and Dodo Street Band… What’s not to like?!
