The professionals will be starring alongside prisoners to stage Hairspray at Bronzefield Prison from 7-15 March.

Chlöe Hart revisits the role of Tracy Turnblad, the part which put her on a West End stage even before she had graduated from the Guildford School of Acting in 2009.

Further West End credits include: Kinky BootsWicked, Les Misérables, Evita and Light in the Piazza.

Darren Bennett

Darren Bennett is an experienced and talented Musical Theatre actor who has just finished the role of Lieutenant Schrank in West Side Story. He will be playing Wilbur Turnblad at Bronzefield. Darren has enjoyed success in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Singin’ in the Rain, Merrily We Roll Along and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

Christopher Howell

Since finishing 42nd Street on stage and screen, Christopher has been in Guy’s & Dolls at the Theatre Marigny in Paris and most recently appeared in Goldilocks and the Three Bears at the London Palladium. Other credits include Made In Dagenham, Stephen Ward, Wicked & Hairspray. Christopher will play Edna Turnblad at Bronzefield.

Sam Murphy will be playing the role of Corny Collins. Musical theatre credits include 42nd StreetGrease, Hairspray and Cats. He was also a dancer in the film Rocketman.

André Fabien Francis

André trained at The Ailey School (New York, USA) and London Studio Centre – he was recently Nominated for a Broadway World UK Award for his portrayal of Paul in Kiss Me, Kate. André will play the role of Seaweed Stubbs at Bronzefield and his credits include Wicked, Viva Forever and Disney’s The Lion King.

Michael Hamway

Michael Hamway is a graduate of The Royal Academy of Music. He has just finished performing in Waitress and will be playing the role of Link Larkin in prison. Credits include Legally Blonde, Forty Years On, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Aladdin.
