Primary Robins: Spring term report

Primary Robins: Spring term report

After nearly two terms the children’s singing is completely different. They really perform – standing tall and producing some lovely bright legato lines. They can now sustain the longer notes and in songs like Supercalifragilistic the diction is much improved. Having worked on pitch using Do Re Mi, they are now very tuneful too.

It has been wonderful to see their confidence blossom. The teachers tell me how much the children enjoy the classes and it seems that when they are singing the room is full of smiles.

At one of the schools, a boy who really did not want to participate and was allowed to sit out of the classroom or simply read a book has, by his own choice, started to join in. As a result, his quite disruptive behaviour seems to be calming down.
