Grange Park Opera

Between performances at the Met, Joseph Calleja gives a soirée for American Friends of Grange Park Opera in the Upper East Side of Manhattan – 44 East 68th Street.

Philanthropist Michael Friedsam’s mansion, built in 1921, is today a girls school, Dominican Academy, with much of the original architecture preserved – marble fireplaces, stained glass windows, metalwork, ornate woodwork. Friedsam’s art collection (Vermeer, Rembrandt, Jan Van Eyck, Botticelli and more) was bequeathed to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The American Friends of Grange Park Opera exists to support the work of Grange Park Opera and enables donations to be made in a tax-efficient manner.
