Born: Middlesex. Recent engagements include Covent Garden, ENO, Glyndebourne, WNO and BBC Proms. In Europe he has appeared in Milan, Paris, Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Vienna, Madrid, Salzburg and Aix-en-Provence in repertoire including Arsamenes Xerxes, title role Orlando, Ottone Agrippina, Nero L’incoronazione Di Poppea, Oberon Midsummer Night’s Dream, Orestes Belle Hèlène, Prince Go-Go Grand Macabre.

World premiéres include Snake Priestess in Birtwistle’s The Minotaur, Olga Neuwirth’s Lost Highway, Judith Weir’s The Outcast and Unsuk Chin’s Alice In Wonderland. In The 2019/20 season he appeared as Baba the Turk Rake’s Progress (Stanislavsky Theatre, Moscow), Edgar in Reimann’s Lear (Opéra de Paris and Teatro Real, Madrid). Plans include returns to Moscow, ENO, Berlin and Munich and concerts in Paris, Stockholm and Berlin.
