Virtual Robins
Every week of the school year, Pimlico Opera gives 2,000 primary school children a half-hour singing class. Primary Robins may not be in school currently, but during these extraordinary times we want to keep the robins singing. Music brings so much joy and is needed now more than ever.
Some of the teachers have recorded online classes that are available on the school’s websites as part of their home learning.
British mezzo-soprano Rosie Clifford teaches some of our youngest robins.
In Rosie’s virtual lesson for year 3, she guides them through a vocal warm up.
Next, Rosie takes them through a firm favourite from their songbooks . . . Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, from the 1964 Disney film Mary Poppins.
