Winter Matched Funding

We occasionally get a matched funding offer and this winter, an anonymous donor has offered to match £200k, yielding £400k. It means that a 20 pound note in your pocket becomes a 50 pound note (with gift aid). That is magic.

The money will be used to create a resin-bonded hard forecourt (900 sq m) around the theatre. As it is, the gravel surface is impossible for wheelchairs and is difficult to walk on, so this is an important. We also want to give the unglamorous Service Yard (700 sq m) a hard finish. When it rains, the clay soil turns to mud and lorries create a swamp.

Every gift, however modest, makes a difference so please encourage your opera guests to contribute.

Joanna Lumley has made the first contribution: her live tour ‘It’s All About Me’ at The Theatre in the Woods.

Donors will be listed in the 2019 season book and on the website.
