How can a small island produce two fabulous tenors?

Joseph Calleja’s recent opera appearances include Pollione Norma in Munich and Cavaradossi Tosca in Berlin. Coming up he has Rodolfo Boheme at the Met and more Tosca in Dresden.

In the gap, he’s coming to sing for Grange Park Opera at the Wigmore Hall.

Nico Darmanin stunned us this summer with his top Cs in La Fille du Regiment. Next spring he is in Venice at La Fenice with The Barber of Seville (which he sings for us in 2026) followed by more Barbers in Spain, William Tell and Rinaldo.

The two tenors are friends.

They present a programme of opera arias, song and perhaps something unexpected and Maltese.
