THE IMMORTALS AND THE BELOVEDS
Leave a legacy
Bryn Terfel, as Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, said “It is a blessing to give”.
By including Grange Park Opera in your Will you are preserving the culture of music and opera.
You are making a mark on the future. In that way . . . you are IMMORTAL.
But we also want it to be immediately enjoyable. So we are creating a jolly group (The Immortals) who will have an Annual Dinner and some may wish to meet up during the opera season and come onto the stage to meet the cast.
Your gift will be recognised (if you so wish) for 20 years in the Programme Book and on the website.
The price of Immortality is not great … given what is on offer. We are asking for a minimum pledge of £50,000.
If you plan leaving a lesser amount, it will still help preserve the arts for future generations. You will be celebrated in a fitting way and be joined to . . . THE BELOVEDS.
IT IS VERY EASY to set up a legacy via a codicil to your Will giving either a specific amount or a percentage of the value of your estate. You can write a gift into your Will at any time or write a Letter of Wishes to append to your Will.
DID YOU KNOW Because Grange Park Opera is a charity (no. 1068046), your gift will be deducted from any inheritance tax (IHT) liability which is normally 40%. If you give 10% of your estate to charity, IHT is reduced to 36%.
THE IMMORTALS are the brainchild of our principal donors Michael and Hilary Cowan. They have kindly agreed to pay for the Annual Dinner for the next ten years. Their generosity is hugely appreciated.
By the way . . . if you have inherited in the past two years, and you pass part of your inheritance to a charity, it can reclaim the Inheritance Tax.
We are grateful to The Immortals who are preserving the culture of music and opera:
